Words of Wisdom

In Bud, Not Buddy, Bud Caldwell often reflects on advice given to him by his Momma, even though he does not always understand it. Consider advice you have been given by a parent, relative, teacher, or coach. Think about times when these words of wisdom helped you. Also think about situations in which you ignored the advice and later wished you would have listened.

What is a piece of advice you would give to a younger brother or sister? Write your response and a reason why this is good advice. You will also need to respond to two other classmates' posts.

  2. Don't do drugs and stay in school. That would be my piece of advice, because drugs ruin your life, and you need a good education. When you do drugs you could possibly drop out of school
and you probably won't get a job. You need a good education to get a job.

  4. Don't ever take a drug of any sort without asking a parent, responsible family member, baby sitter, or any sort of responsible guardian. Don't take the drug without permission even if it is a vitamin the guardian could make you take it again and it could kill you. Be responsible with drugs even after you have permission.
